Free Crochet Basket Pattern & Ideas!

So a couple of weeks ago, I wrapped up my Simply Pampered Spa series wherein I posted three new free patterns and three DIY spa recipe tutorials – it is a very fun series and you can find the patterns and recipes here.

Today, I’d like to show you what else you can use your Simply Pampered Basket for! Because of the nature of the free crochet gift basket pattern design with handles, it can also be used as a yarn bowl! Yes, a yarn bowl, to keep your yarn contained, untangled, and right where it should be – at the end of your hook without muss or fuss!

Are you the “yarny” type? Do you have a “yarny” mommy or relative, a “yarny” friend? Then why not make up the Simply Pampered Basket and add some yarny items, such as some fun Red Heart Yarn, a Furls Crochet Hook, a pair of scissors, a tape measure, a yarn needle, etc. Wrap it all up with a bow and it makes a great gift basket – and then unwrapped and used as a wonderful project basket!

What ideas can you come up with to use your Simply Pampered Basket for? Leave a comment, share you ideas with us!

Wishing you a wonderfully “Yarny” Day!

About thehookedhaberdasher

I was blessed with two dear Grandmothers who were wonderfully gifted and loved all the arts of handcrafting. At their knee, a wee little blonde girl learned the fine art of crochet under their wise and talented tutelage. Now that little girl has grown up and enjoys a lifestyle that affords me the time to put hooks, yummy yarns and fibers back into my hands, returning to the joy and fun of the art of handcrafted crochet. I am awed by the talent and creative patterns of modern new designers, but still enjoy the beauty of vintage patterns as well. My mind and hands are never idle, designing and handcrafting stylishly beautiful, practical, cozy, comfy, sweet and cute wearables and loveables for old and young alike. As a very detail oriented artist, I design and crochet with love, embracing the virtues bequested to me by those two beautiful Grandmothers.
