Pantone’s COTY 2015 Announced!

When I first saw the lineup of colors, I thought WOW – what a wonderful spectrum from cool to warm, and then somewhere in between!

Pantone Color Institute, the world leader in color design, released their color choices for Spring/Summer 2015 a few months ago, but I just sat down today to find out what the palette called En Plein Air consisted of.

Yesterday, Pantone released their choice for Color of the Year (COTY) from the En Plein Air palette as Marsala! I’m just thrilled – love the coolness with warm undertones of their choice! You can bet you will be seeing these colors, En Plein Air (which translates to “Outdoors”) everywhere you look, from fashion, food, beverage, and yes advertising. The Craft and Hobby Association’s (CHA) first show of the year is this month, and I’m sure “Marsala” will be a front-runner color in the yarn industry. I’m so excited about this year’s Spring/Summer 2015 colors and so looking forward to hooking and designing some wonderful projects with this color En Plein Air palette at all shade levels! I encourage you to subscribe to this blog, so you don’t miss a post!

About thehookedhaberdasher

I was blessed with two dear Grandmothers who were wonderfully gifted and loved all the arts of handcrafting. At their knee, a wee little blonde girl learned the fine art of crochet under their wise and talented tutelage. Now that little girl has grown up and enjoys a lifestyle that affords me the time to put hooks, yummy yarns and fibers back into my hands, returning to the joy and fun of the art of handcrafted crochet. I am awed by the talent and creative patterns of modern new designers, but still enjoy the beauty of vintage patterns as well. My mind and hands are never idle, designing and handcrafting stylishly beautiful, practical, cozy, comfy, sweet and cute wearables and loveables for old and young alike. As a very detail oriented artist, I design and crochet with love, embracing the virtues bequested to me by those two beautiful Grandmothers.
